Healthy volunteers are participants who do not have a disease or condition, or related conditions or symptoms

An interventional clinical study is where participants are assigned to receive one or more interventions (or no intervention) so that researchers can evaluate the effects of the interventions on biomedical or health-related outcomes.

An observational clinical study is where participants identified as belonging to study groups are assessed for biomedical or health outcomes.

Searching Both is inclusive of interventional and observational studies.

Phase 1: Studies that emphasize safety and how the drug is metabolized and excreted in humans.

Phase 2: Studies that gather preliminary data on effectiveness (whether the drug works in people who have a certain disease or condition) and additional safety data.

Phase 3: Studies that gather more information about safety and effectiveness by studying different populations and different dosages and by using the drug in combination with other drugs.

Phase 4: Studies occurring after FDA has approved a drug for marketing, efficacy, or optimal use.

You can narrow your results further by searching each trial’s description for a specific word. Keep in mind that this will search the full description. We recommend carefully reviewing each trial information to ensure that it is an appropriate fit for you.

  • Preferences of Patients Treated With Oral Cancer Drugs and Informal Caregivers for Pharmaceutical Consultation in Hospital

To ensure the safe use of oral anticancer drugs, oncology pharmacy consultations (OPCs) have been established in France. OPCs are conditioned by the needs, expectations, and involvement of the patients in their care. In healthcare, patients are increasingly encouraged to play an active role in the knowledge and management of their health, express...

  • Preoperative Oral Midazolam to Postoperative Pain Relief in Sleep Disturbance or Anxiety Patients With Colorectal Cancer

Previous studies have indicated a high incidence of sleep disturbances and anxiety symptoms in individuals with colorectal cancers prior to undergoing surgery, leading to worsened postoperative pain, slower recovery, and higher risk of chronic pain. The enhancement of sleep quality is intricately linked to reducing stress. Preoperative drugs that combine hypnosis and anti-anxiety have not been studied in colorectal cancer patients. Midazolam oral solution is safe and effective for short-term hypnotic and anti-anxiety effects in clinical preoperative settings. In the current randomized controlled clinical trial, 280 patients ...
